As a kid I hated teenagers. I thought they were smelly and scary and I never wanted to be one. As a teenager I didn’t much like teenagers either.
I never thought God would want me to would want me to work with teenagers.
God had other ideas, I had a great time leading some awesome teenagers for a couple of years.
I was always the kind of child who was scared to even put my hand up in class.
I never thought God would want me talk in front of people.
But God had other ideas, He led me to talk about him in front of large groups of people.
I grew up in an Anglican church, I heard some people say bad things about my dad. I saw the nasty side of church life.
I never thought God would want me to work in an Anglican church.
But God had other ideas, I worked in an Anglican church for three years.
I always thought that blogs were for people who thought way too much of themselves. Who cares what goes on in other people’s lives.
I never thought that God would want me to write a blog.
But God had other ideas, I started this blog a couple of months ago, and am surprised at how much it blessed me, and at the positive comments I have received.
I am amazed about the ways that God has continuously pushed me out of my comfort zone. I can’t wait to see where else he will lead me.
How had God pushed you out of your comfort zone?
